Frank Galliers select Causeway to manage cost, documents and drawings
Causeway has announced that regional building contractor Frank Galliers Ltd have invested in both the Causeway Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Causeway Financial Accounting solutions. The £24m contractor decided to review software for both financial and document control in order to improve the management of costs, drawings and documents on contracts.
Frank Galliers have completed a range of construction projects from residential housing and prestigious offices to building new schools and hospitals across Shopshire, West Midlands and Wales. The 130 employee business had a legacy construction financial management solution that was failing to provide the levels of business intelligence they required and had become dated in both its technology and the user interface. Once a decision to replace this financial software was taken, the firm also broadened its search to include a solution that could also help them improve information and document management across their business.
Darren Williams Financial Manager at Frank Galliers explains: “We have been looking for a fully integrated system for some time now after identifying the benefits through research into a multitude of systems that are available. Causeway presented a single company wide solution that we felt would help us improve the visibility of our business and positively change the operational aspect of the company, through tackling the wider challenges of document management across our business.”
Following a thorough review of Construction financial software providers, Frank Galliers selected Causeway to deliver the Causeway Financials Jobmaster Accounting (JMA) solution which included payroll, fixed assets and the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) module.
Darren Williams comments “The Microsoft based JMA solution from Causeway is modern and having had over 10 years development it is functionally very rich. The powerful CVR module will help us have much tighter control on our contract performance and our commercial team will have access to a more real time view on actual against budget on every job – key to maintaining our margins and profitability”
Frank Galliers also invested in the Causeway ECM solution. “Causeway ECM is a significant decision for our business and with this software we aim to open up our business information to make it more freely available to all staff. A key driver is the management and review of project drawings, an area which can be manually intensive and costly if the whole team cannot access the most up to date revisions. Causeway ECM, powered by Livelink from Open Text, will address mark-up and redlining of drawings so that our staff can collaborate easily and plans centrally saving time and reducing risk of errors” adds Darren Williams.
